Daisy Cottage

SLEEPS 4

Double and Twin bedroom

Perfect location for both Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings and within walking distance of the village pub.

A beautifully presented cottage which has been recently renovated to a very high standard to offer cosy accommodation in the centre of Friston,  a great base for exploring the Suffolk Coast.

Great at any time of the year with its beautiful wood burner making this a great place to escape to during cooler months.

Ride like a local ...

Road ride example

A 53 mile loop incorporating quiet Suffolk roads and beautiful villages.  It does involve crossing the A12 at one point near Dunwich where great care should be taken. Not a huge amount of climbing but some lovely small elevations and open rural landscapes to enjoy. Stop off at a wonderful country pub (the Star) for a quick drink and then continue on to Framlingham where you can enjoy a choice of cafes to refuel before returning home.

Off road cycling in Tunstall Forest

MTBTUNSTALL.jpg

Aside from numerous bridle paths around the area there is some excellent single track and off road cycling close by.

Rendlesham offers some excellent waymarked trails for family cycling and just enjoying a forest by bike.

Tunstall Forest is  a real hidden gem for keener mountain bikers.  Tracks created from the enduro racing years ago have made way for  miles of single track through beautiful quiet forest.  The Viking Trail is a waymarked trail of nearly 10 miles long with pretty straight forward cycling with some optional, more challenging sections.

There is a also an extensive dirt jump park with some excellent dirt jump and freeride trails in Sudbourne just a short ride form Orford.

There is also a variety of drops and jumps dotted around the trails. This really is worth checking out if you enjoy some off road cycling.
